Ok so today we finally finished our move. If you recall we were supposed to be done on Saturday but suprise suprise U-Haul didn't come through for us.

In retrospect I think that I may have been too hard on U-Haul. I mean sure they really fucked up are reservation and seemed to take a real sense of pride in doing so, but on the other hand out experience with National Car and Truck Rental (or ALLIED as it say on thier trucks refering I assume to thier relationship with satan) was only marginally better even though things went relativly as planned. Now in fairness I figured we were going to spend about $100 to rent a truck for 4hrs and that is ok. But when NCTR was on the phone with us they suggested that the daily rate would actually be only $50 plus 18c per kilometer after 50 free kilometers I was like KICK ASS we are going to save some money.
So how much did we spend using the truck for 4 hours and driving a total (seriously) of 9 k? $120.
Dont ask me how they do this. They are like price adding ninjas. the kicker is that on the side of our very truck they have painted a sign advertising rentals for as low as $7.50 per hour. CAN WE HAVE ONE OF THOSE FUCKING TRUCKS??. The guy (mohammed- who I am assuming was named by his parents for the prophet who teachings of universal brotherhood they would raise him to agressivle oppose) seemed to be one of toronto's most unpleasant people or at the very least needed some real customer service pointers as well.
