HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!!!

According to murky legend Valentine was a Priest in 3rd century Rome. The emporer at the time (Claudius II) decided that single men made better soldiers and outlawed marriage among young men. The brave Valentine defied Claudius's unjust decree and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Clauduis became aware of his actions he had Valentine jailed and sentenced to death.
Further legend suggest that while he was jailed awaiting his execution he was vistited by a young girl who was probably the jailors daughter. The two fell in love and as they were carrying him away he slipped her a love note signed "From Your Valentine" a greeting still used to this day.

This Saint Valentines Day (actually 3 different Valentines or Valentinus's are sainted- I think they just wanted to make sure they got the right one) I spent today sleeping and then I watched the first episode of lost (finally somebody decided to return that f*cker) and tonight I am going to host trivia and then get drunk as crap to properly honour Saint Valentine, patron saint of young lovers.
