Good Morning Blog Fans,
Although it is a little early for my tastes.
For those of you who are dying to know my weekend was ok. My weekend actually started on thursday with a trip to Lyndsay's cottage/lake proximal-ultra complex. Maiga and I were there from Thursday to Friday afternoon. Our trip started ok with some delicous pina coladas but then Lyndsay and Shiney (ben) were kind of fighting.
If I remember correctly from my time spent dating Lyndsay this means that they probably experienced some minor "fight-like" incident 4 days prior to our visit that Lyndsay grabbed ahold of like a hungry pitbull terrior and vaulted into a full out, state-of-the nation like relationship review complete with agressive response prying and random crying.
What is it with freaking Girls? How does an argument about wether or not we should go to Careys or the Winchester in an evening turn into an argument about how I have trouble expressing emotion in a relationship context in 4 sentences?
for the record I am not complaining about Erica who is as of YET fairly reasonable at keeping on topic.
anyway, we managed to have a really nice time regardless of the minor fighting. Lyndsay's cottage features among other things: Pool Table/Ping Pong Table, Air Hockey Table Which Maiga really sucks at using, Large screen TV, Two Fire Places, Kick ass massaging action hot tub complete with dicso lighting, TONS OF FOOD AND BOOZE.
I highly recomend that you visit +Lynds thanks for having me!
Friday I went to recieve some nike technical training and then worked the Friday Yorkville Nike running group. Since I have been grossly exagerating my current level of fitness while focusing somewhat shamelessly on my running success in high-school my boss thought that I should lead the 5 k (meaning that I have to finish first while consulting the map and making pleasant conversation with the lead runners).
Never mind that I actually hadnt run 5k in a month and a half and also smoke cigarettes like I am trying to slowly warm-up toronto to prevent winter from coming.
I did ok.
After I went to visit Erica who was letting loose on the weekend by reviewing her OCI applications.
After I went to 606 where I showed up at 1:30 am and still had to pay $10 cover (which I instantly redeemed by taking advatage of the $7 pints and the "coyote ugly" style bar girl who poured 1.5 shots into my mouth and about 6 onto my shirt).
On saturday I played about 6 consectutive hours of Kelly Slater Pro Surfing and then went to Gypsey Co-op with Fry and Amy and Ben and Will and Mark. We were supposed to go to Habitat but they wouldnt let fry in because of dress code issues (this is the second time this has happened in toronto by the way) if you are distinguished in dress as "sloppier than Ben" than this is not a good sign.
We also met up with Maiga and Quinne and a couple of there Victoria friends.
I also had some delicous Amatos.
also Erica spent saturday night drinking with her girlfriends and watching a movie about lesbians(!).
Yesterday I played some more Kelly Slater Pro Surfer and then went to Erica's. We went to Mel's where I ate the majority of both a poutine plate and a burger platter and then we went to Kinkos copy center. I think this round of Firm applications has turned my normal group of competent younge law friends into a kind of primary school science projecty group obsessed with the irrelevant details of thier resume presentation.
I am trying to imagine the Firm partners or whomever reviews these things being like....
Partner #1: Hmmm I am really impressed with her grades and volunteer experience but I wish she had chosen more of an "ocean pearl" white to print her resume on. This "Ultimate White" paper reeks like 1998.
Partner #2: TOTALLY and did you see the font she chose for the envelope labels? Its like these applicants don't want to be hired.
today I have to go shopping to buy some clothes to be on TV for a show i am not getting paid for. Wish me luck!!!
