ok so today at the value village I got a new hat which is super cool and has a stihl chainsaw patch on it. I also got a football jersey type shirt amd some massive track pants because I have the sneaking suspicion that our house is going to be bonechillingly cold in the winter.
the total cost of these purchases was $9 but I cant help but to think that I would have been better offf investing my $9 in somthing else (like in some delicous food for dinner tonight).
I have been shopping at the value village since I was 15 so it has nothing to do with the fact that I am agressivly broke. I actually like the village more than the downtown or kensington thrift stores because I feel more like I am choosing the clothes I want out of a sea of crappy stuff as opposed to the smaller thrift stores where someone else decides what is vintage cool for me. This is still better to then the mall where I could go for 4hours and still not find one thing I would want to wear.
