Hey Blog Fans,

Things could not be more exciting in blog world!!! First of all Erica is finally back from nelson BC and her sisters wedding. Secondly I just go back from a spectacular cottage weekend (thanks cam). And lastly my corn-rows have finally fallen out so I look like a regular person agian (sigh). I mean how much more can happen in one day???.

The cottage weekend was fun and also I got pretty drunk so GOOD TIMES. Highlight include:

1. For the first cottage weekend in 12 years i didn't get a sunburn but this was more of an accident than good skin managment.
2. Thanks to some (in retrospect pretty obvious) golf tips from fry I think I will be in good shape for the windsor tourney this weekend. Also Bens golf game is looking terrible (!!!)
3. Everyone was making fun of my cornrows. Thank-you too the girls for taking a break from this to make fun of me for being too skinny.
4. The girls were also having perhaps the most cyclical (and nonsensicle) argument/debate I have ever heard about the extent that girls overestimate how objectivly beautifull there friends are and how guys unfairly label girls with nice bodies as more likely to be good looking. These two points are related somehow and it sounds somthing like this...

girl 1: I mean I think that this girl is really beautifull but more guys heads turn when this other girl walks in and she is butt ugly and girls friends never say if there friend is butt ugly wich this girl is but guys cant tell unlike my friend who's heads dont turn as much when she walks into a room but is beatufull.

girl 2: NO I think that it is more that every girl we know and like is beautifull and every other girl in the world is butt. If guys think differently then that is because our friends dont dress like sluts unless we are trying to have a girls night.


Luke: I think that every girl is beautifull in her own way and moreover that girls shouldn't place so much emphasis on aprearance in a competitive way.

Girls: SHUT UP LUKE YOU DONT HAVE A CLUE WHAT MAKES GIRLS ATTRACTIVE.

and it goes on like this...


5. I thought I wanted this conversation to end but then they switched seamlessly into 25 solid min of thinly vieled pettigrew-bashing (mostly luke bashing) as if we were the walking twin incarnate of everything that is wrong with men. What is up with that? I have had more long-term mostly succsessfull serial monogamy (year+) type relationships than anyone I know and in a lot of cases I am still good friends with my x's. Isnt this what girls are supposed to want me to do?

6. The bar go to in fenelon falls has 32 ounce beers. Duke of York it is time for you to step up.

7. I really like playing scrabble but I may be a little more competitive than I should be for recreational scrabble. retooler word or not a word?

8. we saw american wedding on saturday night. This is was suprisingly funny although it felt a little more like a series of comedy shorts than an actual movie.

9. retooler is not a word so it was correct to strike it from the board and deprive me of my 50 point 7 letter bonus. Looking back at the letters I must have had I think I could have gone with looters for the bonus.
