Good Morning Blog Fans,

I hope things are going well. I cant complain except I was up at 8am this morning so I guess I could freaking complain about that. Alls I can say is TGIF!!! just because my life doesn't feature a decernable weekend doesn't mean that I dont look forward to friday like everybody else. I am going to spend today trying to get the best price possible for a cube van for our moving day next saturday from U-Haul (slogan: "ass-fucking you over since 1963"). I know these f*ckers are going to stick me with a huge bill and then make me drive to scarborough or something to pick the thing up.

Anyway my otherr plans for the day include working out and taking a nap so I have lots of energy to go out tonight. I have agreed to attend nathanals birthday party at a bar in the yonge eg area. I am withholding judgment on Nathanals bar selection talents untill I see this place. I cant remember what the bar is called but I know it is a one word name like "spirit" or "ooovo" or "tonic" or "gino" or somthing so that usually means 2.7 strikes against it from the start.
It is like people just dont get what makes a good place to chill and get drunk with your friends. (since my friends collective record for scoring strangers in a club is probably like 1 for 16,000 I no longer accept that as a reason to go anywhere). People will be like "hey luke we are going to FLUID on saturday" do you want to go?" and I am like "I dont know anything about FLUID but unless its real name is "The Fluid and the Lion Scottish Ale Pub" I am probably not interested.
As a good rule you should look for places that don't have a cover charge or dress code who's name start with The.
Regardless, happy Birthday Nathanal I am sure this place will be super fun.

TOP 4 worst Bars Luke has attended in toronto.

1. Money: apparenly my VIP passes did not quite make me important enough to avoid paying a huge cover charge. when inside the general combination of balding 30-40 year olds and high school girls made this place more than a little creepy. also beers were like $8 but since I routinly pay that at Marlow (described as "where 30 year olds go to die") I guess I cant complain. the kicker about Money is that even the girls who made us go there were super bored right from the start. dont go there ever.
2. The Peel Pub: no amount of cheap beer can save this place plus they now have one of those glassed in smoking areas. I don't like how bars are now trying to pretend that chain smoking isn't an inherent part of bar drinking. Not recomended
3. My Apartment (circa 2002): I actually had fun at this place when I didn't live in toronto and went after a golf tourney. this place suffers the regular pitfalls of an overcrowded bar: hard to get a drink, move around, find your friends, hear people talk etc. but distinguishes itself in that this has to be the ugliest 905 bar crowd in toronto. guys, girls, staff, everyones UGLY. Don't go unless you want to look hot by comparison.
4. That place I went to with mark just west of bloor west village: I forget the name of this place but wow were we ever dealing with some Parkdale allstars (no offence Liz). this trip was made bearable only by the remarkable "stepping it up" that Mars and I did for last call. you should actually go here once to check it out.

Ok so I think I am tired because my post seemed a little more "cranky" than usual. hopefully I will have some cheerfull stuff for you tomorrow.
